Our healthcare projects often start with a mood, or inspiration board. It allows us to ideate. We organize our designs, patterns, and even content. It also showcases our creative depth. Take a peek at various inspiration boards and see how the visuals inspire our proposed designs. We hope you enjoy exploring.
Inspired by nature and a connection to outdoors this Physician/Nurse Respite Room offers privacy and relaxation with a small break room next door to connect with coworkers. Furniture and materials support calm and comfort. The informal spaces to rest and reenergize were formerly a storage closet and MA station reimagined. Healthcare designer Jennifer Brody, Oakland
Children should feel empowered to tackle any obstacle, like Superheroes. And no better place to feel that way than in a Pediatric Unit, to come to a place just for them to play and dream they are the strongest they can be. Healthcare Designers Sherri Hermosillo + Mark Schmidt, Salinas
Half Moon Bay walk, hazy morning sunlight, comfort of a warm jacket, textures of sand, grasses and sea creatures all contribute to your comfort in this healthcare space by Kira Moss. A variety of settings can be used individually or brought together to support staff gatherings.
Many people have fond memories of childhood visits to the beach and playing in the ocean, the inspiration for this pediatric exam suite. Spaces for children dealing with scary treatment to gather with family, to escape their daily life for a moment and to create new memories to help them through challenging times. A social area to play, a beach cabana for respite, a communal area for the whole family, places to inspire and change lives. Danette Anderson, Healthcare Designer
How about a block game inspired pediatric consult room bathed in colors from nature? Video games allow children to explore their imaginations and create their own worlds. The perfect escape to take a child's mind off what's happening in the next room where their parents consult with their doctor about the child's medical treatment and care. Ashley Uhland, Healthcare Designer, Oakland
Reimagining a child's visit to the doctor as an adventure and connection to the African Savanna. Discover native animals and how they live, learn more about the geography. Bright colors, patterns, biophilia and art are an extension of African culture in a pediatric exam room. An experience a child will remember and want to have again. Alison Carter, Healthcare Designer, One Workplace Oakland.
