Designed for innovative 21st century teaching and learning, the UC Davis Teaching and Learning Complex debuted in late 2022. Featuring flexible, interactive classrooms, state of the art technology, and spaces to support collaboration, group and focus work, Smith Group designed and DPR built an environmentally friendly building to empower learning in every space.
With 2000 seats and a general assignment classroom design, the new UC Davis Teaching and Learning space supports implementation of active learning strategies to promote high levels of student engagement and interactivity.
The project process and team were collaborative, and we tasked our resources to deliver sustainably manufactured, flexible furniture to meet the building design intent. We worked along side multiple suppliers to create a cohesive final deliverable for UC Davis.
